So Kip and I went and saw Watchmen yesterday. It was good, except for a few details.

One I saw when I started seeing the trailers. The Watchmen were regular people, not superheros. Why in the hell could they punch someone and they’d fly across the room? That’s one gripe I’ve got.

Another would be they changed Ozymandias’ whole plan. Granted, the concept was the same, but the execution of it was changed dramatically. I won’t go into details here for those of you who have yet to see it.

My last major complaint is that they left so much out of the movie that was in the book. I understand there are time constraints and whatnot, but I felt as if I didn’t have as strong a connection to some of the characters as I did when I read the book.

Don’t get me wrong, I loved the movie, it’s just that those few issues kind of nagged at me while I was watching it. For the most part, all of the actors were dead-on for how they looked in the book (with the obvious exception of the older Sally Jupiter — seriously, makeup on the young Sally to make her look old? Sheesh.) My opinion is that you should see this movie. If you’re actually looking at our site, it means you’re probably a nerd like ourselves and would thoroughly enjoy it. Go spend your $8. You won’t be disappointed.
