Check out this tour of a netflix shipping center. I am incredibly surprised how little robotic automation there is. I understand people need jobs, but it seems like a lot of overhead to just sort DVDs. Someone I work with actually just got a new rooommate though and I guess he works at one of these shipping centers. I’m really interested in meeting this guy and talking to him about his job.
